For English class I have Ms. Hunter, she teaches most of our grade. Her website is full of helpful resources we can use to help us study, and check to make sure everything is being done correctly. I give homework for a reason—not to keep you busy or drive you crazy, but to reinforce and expand what we do in class.
10% Informal Assessment
This portion of your grade covers class work and class participation.
Technology is used a lot in English! We use computers to practice for the PARCC test, to STAR test, and even to just write essays! Recently we had to do a PSA commercial on the computer. That was probably my favorite project we had to do! We made a poster, slide show and video all about how drinking and driving is a terrible thing to do!
We are currently in the process of reading Romeo and Juliet. It is really good so far, but I don't think anything will beat Speak. Even though it was the only book we read this year it is definitely one of my favorites.
