May 1st: How old do I look?

How old do you look? Old for your years? Young enough that you get carded every time you try to buy a beer? Now, how old do you look… to a computer that does nothing but guess ages? As something of an experiment, Microsoft’s machine-learning team has built a site that takes any photo you throw at it and tries to guess the ages of those it portrays.

April 23rd: New Skateboard

In a futuristic take on pedestrian transportation, these sidewinding circular skates give users the sensation of “skateboarding” — minus the board “Riders simply place their feet on the two platforms and lean side-to-side to rotate the rubber wheels around the feet, propelling riders forward in a motion similar to longboard skateboarding,” the product’s website explains. The overall effect makes riders look like they’re hovering over the sidewalk. A website that carries unique gifts, retails the item at $99.95.

April 15th: Wikipedia

From these two videos I learned that Wikipedia is not as bad as people say it is. Although people are allowed to change and revise everything written on it, it is reviewed before being posted. Millions of people around the world contribute to this website trying to make it as reliable as possible.

April 13th: Spring Break

My spring break consisted mostly of me sleeping, eating and occasionally hanging out with friends and family. On Friday, our first day of break, I went to the mall with my little cousin to help her pick out new clothes. We then went back to her house and hung out for a while. Later that day my mom's boyfriend came over and stayed the weekend. Saturday, we went to the gym and then decided to go out to eat. Sunday, we went to my Uncle's house for Easter. I always love going there and spending time with my older cousins. Even though they are insane and enjoy annoying me.

Then, on Monday Lauren and Halie came over. We got Rita's, played twister, and played volleyball outside. The rest of the week consisted of me complaining about how I wasn't at coachella on twitter. On Sunday, I went to the softball game and supported my friends while my mom decided to walk the track. I didn't really do much my spring break, but it was still fun. :)

April 2nd: Meet The Smartest Emoji!

The hotly contested digital sticker space has a new face in it today: Sm@rt Stickrs is a start up that’s aiming to elbow its way into your messaging affections with a new type of emoji that gets smarter the more you use it. That’s right, these are not just any emoticons. These are artificially intelligent emoticon! “Initially our stickers look like any other emoji, with the same cartoon features and limited emotional range. But take a closer look and you’ll find yourself wondering whether that winking smilie or time-out gesture is actually conveying something far more subtle and uniquely personal to you.”                                  wink animated GIF
